So yes, I've been running, and running quite a bit. I have been on a mission to really work on base mileage. I did a 4 week block of strong running, then took a week recovery, and am just finishing another 4 week block of high milage (>30 miles a week) with intervals, tempo, hills, long runs, ect thrown in. I've been working on just trying to run more, as in run 6 days a week. And it seems to be getting easier.
On the agenda is a 10K at the end of September and that's it. I've been contemplating a half marathon in November/December but haven't decided and then marathon in March. It seemed so far away when I signed up and for some reason I feel like it is actually kind of close...but really I think it's because training is what is coming up, as in the training plan starts in November.
Either way, I think the 4 week block, recovery week is doing me good. I'll stick with it I think for awhile and keep seeing how it goes.

T-16 Months
T is starting to talk more, try to mimick sounds. She is really good at a few words. Dada, Elmo, Dog, teddy, she can say mama but doesn't necessarily say it to me. She does to a lot of animal sounds. She can do dog, cat, lion, sheep pretty good. She is finally starting to get into books. Like read the same book over and over again. She loves just about any food we give her (except tomatoes) and she eats like a champ.
Other notable things-loves swinging (so did P and still does), loves blankets and stuffed animals. She is definitely a blanket baby and would carry one around all the time if she could. She copies whatever P is doing and the two of them together can turn into serious drama.
She can fit into some 9 month clothes still (yikes) but we've started pulling out some 18month clothes too. She seems to be filling out a bit finally which is probably good.

Soooo busy
Things have been a bit on the hectic side around here. Um, let's see....We moved, and I've started back up work. Those two things together with getting use to the new house, new daycare, new neighbors, ect, has made for some busy busy weeks. Classes fully resume on Tuesday but we've had a week full of meetings and just trying to get my classes ready. I haven't even taken many pictures, but here are a couple.
Oh, P has totally learned how to pump her legs and swing by herself...really high. She loves it! And our new neighbors have a playset in their backyard and have older kids. They took a weekend and cleaned it off (powerwashed it and got sand and mulch to put under the swings) for us. How nice is that. Every day we get home, we walk right to their swing set and play for awhile.

Piper turned 3
We had a very low key bday party for Piper at a local splash park. Lots of fun! P's stats are that she is 38inches tall and 30lbs. About 50th % in both categories. She has turned into quick the chatterbox and throws quite a bit of tantrums. :) She has also started being more aggressive with Tatum which has cause for lots of anxiety for me and more getting sent to her room for her. She has a very good vocabulary and is easily understood if she talks and doesn't mumble. Lastly, she has picked up the habit of biting her nails, ALL THE TIME. Sooo frustrating. She bites them down to nothing and bites all the skin around it. We don't know how we are going to fix this one.
