31 Weeks

I reached 31 weeks preggers on Saturday and things are going well. BZ is extremely active and seems to like to throw her own parties in my belly without my knowledge. I have been done with work for a week, but this last week has been so busy that I can't seem to keep up. I started organizing the nursery...doing 6 loads of baby clothes or cloth diapers and putting clothes for 12month and plus in containers. I have been fortunate to have a sister who decided to give me all of her clothes and other goodies for the first 2 years so I have a ridiculous amount of stuff. There are still other things to organize but the nursery is coming together.

I also spent some time finally planting some things in the yard. I never thought that gardening was so labor intensive until you are trying to do it while pregnant. I did manage to get my two planter boxes done and the hanging basket, plus planted some begonias and inpatients where my tulips were and then moved the rose bushes and planted some spiderwort. Oh and did I mention that I have been helping EZ with the patio. I spent a few hours one day sorting paver stones and then helped him lay the patio down on Sat for half the day. But all in all everything is going well. The patio should be done in a few more days (of no rain) and then EZ can be happy to rest some. He just has to tamp down the stones, glue down the capstones and brush in the sand.

I only have a couple more days of semi recovery before I am off on my trip back up to MI before heading to Austin for the week. I am going to a workshop on teaching math using IQL (Inquiry Based Learning)-basically instead of lecturing to the class, trying to learn how to teach a class more where the students are in control. I have always wanted to try it out but have felt I needed some guidance, so I am hoping this workshop will help in that regard. We put the carseat in the car so just in case BZ decides to come SUPER early, at least the car seat will be with me (minus the week I am in TX).

So since it has been awhile since I posted a picture of me, here I am at 31 weeks from the front and then the side:

You look great!

I know your trip to MI will be busy and emotional, but if you happen to have any free time I'd love to see you and am willing to drive!

Some day you will be so glad you have all those older baby clothes conveniently stored and organized in your own house. I got tons of stuff from my SIL and Remy grew so super fast, it was SO EASY to just toss the small stuff into a donate bag and empty the bag with the next size up.

Also, that IQL stuff sounds really cool.
